hello fresh: my second delivery box.

having really enjoyed the hello fresh box that i was sent review a month or so back, i decided to buy another to try :) the three-meal box contained a real mix of cuisine; genki yakitori, guilt-free fish and chips and herby chicken caesar salad. so since it was yet another box of tasty meals i thought i'd share it with you!

genki yakitori with crispy red onions and sweet and sour noodles.

this was a japanese inspired dish with a garlic and soy marinated chicken tossed with sweet chilli noodles, crunchy string beans and salty, crispy noodles. a really nice mix of flavours!

double guilt free fish and chips with a side of nostalgia.

guilt free due to the cod and chips being baked in the oven (plus the five a day spinach) i loved the thyme in the potatoes and homemade lemon butter drizzled over the fish. beautiful james knight produce - who also provides fish for her majesty the queen! - which i thought was great laid on the chips for the last part of cooking.

hail caesar salad with roasted lime and herb chicken.

i really enjoyed this dish because of all the parts you make from scratch. guilty of buying my own croutons and pre made salad components  i liked that here i baked my own olive oil croutons and made a caesar style dressing from creme fraiche, parmesan, herbs and lime. the italian herbs had an interested aniseed taste which went well with the sourness of the cream and zingy lime running throughout the chicken and dressing.

so what do you think? have i convinced you to try a hello fresh box too?

you can get £20 off your first hello fresh box with the discount code NER3EE - for example that's just £19 for a meat and fish box for two - bargain!

  1. Oh that's good, we might have to use that code! The Ceasar Salad looks good! :-)

    1. It was really tasty - lots more herbs and zing than your average. My fave was probably the "fish and chips" :) They have lots of Caribbean dishes on the menu at the moment so I'm tempted to try another with the code too! xx
