new kitchen additions.

I can't believe I've been in my house now almost a year. The kitchen was definitely the selling point for me (of course) and I was lucky enough that the decor already totally suited my taste. In recent months I've widened my kitchen accessory collection... rather a lot. With a mix of vintage finds, charity shop hauls and lovely press samples I've been able to add a few personal touches to my favourite place. Maybe this year will be the one I finally keep that herb garden alive...

When the lovely lot at Formahouse offered to send me some pieces, I couldn't wait to scroll through. Their products are sold wholesale, so you might have a few of their beautiful kitchenware collections in a local gift shop, deli or homeware destination. So who knows, you might have some of their delightful interior offerings already in your fave haunts - you can simply check where it is stocked in the UK here.

First up is this pretty pastel collection from Zuperzozial. With my kitchen a shade of "Overtly Olive" this range was ideal for adding muted tones of green and contrasting pink. Enter the cutest little strainer of all time, a very handy trivet and willow green chopping board. Almost too pretty to use! The board is made from bamboo and corn fibres, making it bio-degradable, and is £16.99. The hanging plant pots are also from the same range, and at £16.99 also come in a few colours.

With a few retro inspired bits dotted about my kitchen, I was instantly drawn to these floral and geo prints. The napkin holder, from Capventure (£12) is a cute little novelty to have sitting my by sink. Let's be honest, if I'm going to be clumsy I mightaswell have something pretty to counteract it. I'm yet to re-stock it but I'm sure I could head to eBay for some rectangle napkins - maybe even some coloured ones?

I also grabbed a lovely pot, although I haven't got any plans for this yet. It just matched my other navy and teal printed crockery so well, that, priorities. Designed by Lotta Odelius for Sagaform, this wonderful storage container has an RRP of £16.99. Perfect for a gift, the stoneware piece has a beautifully made acacia lid.

I've also been doing a fine job of updating my chopping board collection. Sourced from the likes of Wayfair and Amazon, I can't wait to add these to a few of my recipe snaps. You may recognise a few from here and here. Anyone else love a good serveboard?

I recently bought this from Next too. After having the lightbox for my office, I just couldn't resist this quirky peg board. For reminding me to buy the essentials, of course.

Lastly is this seriously exciting shelving from Anthropologie. I'm not kidding. I was lusting over this lovely bit of live edge acacia wood for far to long, so when it went in the sale I HAD to have it. It was around £180 and went down to £100, I believe. Thanks to PayPal the enabler for making my kitchenware splurges all that too easy.

What kitchenware have you been loving lately? Do you have any new pieces on your wish list?
