the rude shipyard: my first taste of guinness cake.

yoho ahoy!

a slice of guinness cake and a cuppa from the rude shipyard in sheffield. for those of you who haven't been, it's a quaint little café-come-book shop on abbeydale road with higgledy piggledy furniture and lovely company.

the cake looked and tasted divine. with cream cheese for that famous guinness head.

if only there were some kind of record for the best cake. world records perhaps...

  1. Such a fantastic and mouth-watering introduction to a legendary bake! There is something truly magical about using stout in baking—it gives the cake such incredible depth, moisture, and a wonderfully rich flavor profile without being overly sweet. It is the ultimate treat for anyone who appreciates a decadent, pub-style dessert. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious post!
