yoho ahoy!
a slice of guinness cake and a cuppa from the rude shipyard in sheffield. for those of you who haven't been, it's a quaint little café-come-book shop on abbeydale road with higgledy piggledy furniture and lovely company.
the cake looked and tasted divine. with cream cheese for that famous guinness head.
Such a fantastic and mouth-watering introduction to a legendary bake! There is something truly magical about using stout in baking—it gives the cake such incredible depth, moisture, and a wonderfully rich flavor profile without being overly sweet. It is the ultimate treat for anyone who appreciates a decadent, pub-style dessert. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious post!
