Some tasty little macarons made to taste just like your favourite peanut butter treat. Creating a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup style buttercream, which tastes like chocolate peanut butter, I've made some mini Reece's inspired macarons. Good luck trying not to eat the frosting right out the bowl... believe me it will be worth it.
(Make 12 medium or 24 mini macarons)
♥ Two egg whites, at room temperature
♥ 75g caster sugar
♥ 90g icing sugar, sieved
♥ 75g almonds, sieved until fine with lumps discarded

Step one. Make the macaron shells according to my macaron step by step guide. (Using my macaron tips and tricks should you need any extra help).
Step two. Whilst the shells cool, create the buttercream but whipping together all the ingredients.
Step three. Pipe the filling and twist together to make a full macaron. Ta da!
Have you ever made Reece's inspired baking recipes? Or peanut butter flavour macarons?
These look delicious, though I think I'd have to make chocolate-y shells too! x
