Hope you're all enjoying the start of spring and making and baking some Easter treats. If you haven't made anything yet, here's a little Easter cake to hopefully get you inspired! Showcasing alphabet cutters, piping nozzles, various stampers and a swizzling cake stand - I thought I'd have a go at sugar craft.

With February as the month of luuurve, I thought I'd try my had at some Valentine's inspired recipes. I recently bought this rose shape nozzle which I just couldn't wait to try out. So simple to use with lots of different flower shaped nozzles too! I don't know about you, but I'd sooner have 12 flower pot cupcakes than a dozen roses?

It's no secret that I love afternoon tea. My mum and I often scout out somewhere to enjoy the cutest of cakes, soldier like sandwiches and neverending pots of tea. 

When i saw that Denby were hosting an afternoon tea themed cake off, I couldn't wait to get involved. I thought, how can I make something that resembles afternoon tea, as well as could be nibbled at one? With our best blue Denby crockery and Sadler romeo and juliet teapot, I laid the table for afternoon tea and got creative for the main event. Cake, of course.

With my Mum's birthday being in March, it often falls very close to Mother's Day. For this reason, I always like to make sure I do separate birthday and Mother's Day things to show doubly how much I care. So last weekend we all got together for an afternoon tea party - complete with an abundance of tea, sandwiches and a very pink vintage inspired cake! 

Cake decorating is something I'm really interested in but would like to improve on - so hope you enjoy reading about my creation as much as I loved making it!
