the golden hour: golden turmeric milk from yogi tea®

With a sense of great passion, Yogi Tea are committed to bringing great quality, authentic and organic teas to the modern market. Pioneers of herbal and spiced teas for over forty years, their ethos is, “Feel good, be good, do good.”

I was invited to try their Turmeric Chai, an exciting new product coming to the shelves in January 2018. I’ve heard amazing things about turmeric, particularly health benefits, so I couldn’t wait to try. Plus, the chai element means that it’s packed with soothing and comforting spices such as cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon and ginger. As leading specialists in chai blends, Yogi Tea certainly know their stuff.

Their new turmeric chai is best enjoyed as Golden Milk, which means taking milk and gently infusing it with the tea bag over a low heat. This can be regular mean or almond or soy for a vegan, dairy free option. It tastes really wholesome and comforting, perfect for the season.

Focusing on mindfulness, it draws my attention to things I was thankful for in 2017 and what I have to look forward to in 2018. Moving from a job I’d been in for six years into an exciting new role makes me feel inspired for the future. It was such a leap leaving people that I enjoyed seeing every day but just a week or so in and I’m already feeling positive about the new creative challenges. I also recently celebrated a year in my home; I can’t wait for many more dinner parties, cosy nights in and garden parties next year. Always with the food, of course.

For 2018 my other half and I have decided to make a few lifestyle changes too, for the better. Although I almost always cook from scratch we think we could be a little healthier, balanced and more mindful with our choices, We love to enjoy an indulgent curry over a bottle of wine but instead have decided to find new ideas for dates. Instead of naughty treats (I'm looking at you cheese) we'll be spending more money on expensive ingredients such as higher quality seafood, better produce and organic options. I already really enjoy vegetarian food so will be trying to eat veggie as much as possible too.

We're hoping to make the most of the beautiful East Midlands countryside and head out for more local walks. I've already got a few new healthy recipes ready be planned in and am hoping to think of even more creative ways to get my five a day and essential nutrients. Ultimately these changes can only be for the better; boosting our mental and physical health, happiness and confidence.

Yogi Tea in all are an inspiring and mindful brand, who make teas which are a joy to drink. Their roots stem from the 3,000 year old Indian Ayurvedic teachings about the balance between body, mind and soul. Their natural and sustainable approach to farming, also helps preserve the Earth’s beauty and vitality. I can already see a place for them and can't wait to try out the full range.

  1. Great article for everyone....Turmeric is one of our favourite anti-inflammatory foods and the star of today's smoothie. It is composed primarily of a chemical known as curcumin, which actively reduces inflammation in the body, and including turmeric regularly in your diet is a positive step in reducing said inflammation pronto. If you want to know more, please check it out Turmeric

  5. Hello there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform. 토토커뮤니티
