Hope you're all enjoying the festive season and had a wonderful Christmas! With 2015 coming to an end and 2016 just around the corner, I've put together a super simple canapé recipe to impress your guests! This smoked salmon and cucumber canapé with lemon and dill crème fraîche takes just minutes to put together and seconds to devour. Perfect for nibbles at New Year's Eve parties, just get that fizz chilling and pop on your favourite party dress!

Shopping list.
(Makes four)
♥ 120g smoked salmon
♥ Half a cucumber, diced
♥ 150ml crème fraîche
♥ 3 tsp of dried dill, plus extra for garnish
♥ Half a lemon, plus extra for garnish
♥ Short glass dishes for presentation

Step one. Roughly chop the smoked salmon and fill the bottom of the glasses.

Step two. Mix a small amount of crème fraîche and 1 tsp of the dill with the diced cucumber. This will make up the second layer.

Step three. For the final layer, mix 2 tsp of dill and the juice of the lemon with the crème fraîche. Smooth on top, garnish with a sprinkle of dill and slice of lemon.

Told you it was easy didn't I? Make ahead and serve to your guests with a glass of fizz. Or if you're staying in, this would make for the perfect dinner party starter. Cheers!
