A sleek and contemporary restaurant with a modern menu to suit all tastes and appetites. The Fahrenheit Bar & Grill can be found within the Genting Club Riverlights casino in Derby city. Not having previously dined in a casino, I was intrigued as to what the eat, drink and play experience would offer.

On account of the glorious weather we've been having (no doubt when I post this it'll start to rain...) I've been truly embracing picnic recipes. With my chorizo scotch eggs last week and a few others to come, I thought today I'd say this really super simple cheese twist recipe. I used smoky Applewood cheddar and a scattering of sesame seeds for extra texture - but really the combo is up to you!

One of my favourite things to do... afternoon tea! Even better, afternoon tea with a lovely fellow foodie and blogger. Amelia of xameliax invited me along as her +1 at Hilton Garden Inn not long ago. Cake, bubbles, tiny sarnies and chit chat? How could I say no? I hadn't been to a Hilton for afternoon tea either, so I was really intrigued to see how they fared on the tea and scones front.

I've been wanting to try a scotch egg recipe with a twist for a while. Since getting a tiny deep fat fryer, I've tried out fried goat's cheese, triple cooked chips, vegan banana fritters and now even parsnip shoestring fries. But with the picnic season soon upon us - chorizo style scotch eggs had to happen. With a hint of sweet paprika and a bit of a kick, these can be made as hard or soft boiled scotch eggs to your liking. So simple and really satisfying to make.

Byronissimo - the hamburger with an Italian accent. A medium rare 6oz Byron patty smothered in melting Fontina cheese, crispy pancetta, pickled red onion and a rich tomato gravy. This Italian take on one of my favourite burgers launched last week, and I couldn't wait to get my hands around one.

A simple and light recipe for a sunny evening. This week was the first time we ate outside in the garden, where we enjoyed this king prawn, asparagus and broccoli pasta dish. Made with wholemeal fusilli and a zesty chilli, lemon and garlic sauce, it was the perfect healthy recipe to start the Spring. Plus asparagus is finally coming into season - yay!

I'm going to let you into a secret, I may have had a little help with this review. Heading over to explore the new look of my local Bella Italia and check out the latest menu, I brought along my nephew Charlie for his expert culinary advice. Especially when it comes to pizza and ice cream.

What could be better than a cheese board and your favourite bottle of wine? Cheese direct to your door, that's what. Simple flick through the artisan cheese selections and accompaniments over on The Cheese Market and await your fromage by post. The lovely lot asked if I fancied trying some of their products. How could I resist?

A long overdue post about a fab Leicester blogger meet up at the newly opened Peter Pizzeria. Having sampled the Neapolitan delights of the Loughborough Peter Pizzeria, it was a great chance to see what the Leicester restaurant had to offer as well as meet up with some local lifestyle and food bloggers.

The pork was slow cooking, the sweet potato fries crisping up, avocados were at the ready and the fridge was stocked with Corona. It could only mean one thing... Mexican night! I doubt I needed an excuse for a Mexican inspired banquet, but if ever there was one then my new Stellar Tate metal casserole dish was it.

Stoke Rochford Hall is a beautiful Victorian county mansion found in the south of Lincolnshire. With a great reputation for its breathtaking surroundings, luxury hospitality and nearby golf course, it was the perfect location to take my golf mad boyfriend for a surprise birthday break away. Food for me and golfing tuition with the club professional for him - perfect!

I hope you're using Easter as a suitably good reason to eat lots of chocolate. I know I am. If that's not good enough excuse, Midlands Co Op are encouraging food bloggers to get involved with making Easter treats. Without further ado, here are #mycooptreats...
