as if the prospect of christmas wasn't excitement enough, this week i've been riding on a sugar high thanks to sweet treats from taffy mail. passionate about pop rocks? got a niggling for some nerds? or a hankering for a hershey's bar? this is one mail order box for you. full to the brim with american candy, sweet treats, fizzy drinks and overly indulgent chocolate bars. yep, i'm definitely buzzing on all shades of e numbers right now.
as you can see, in mine there was a mix of recognisable sweets and a few unusual ones that i've only heard of from films. i absolutely love cherry pop tarts and haven't had a chance to try this flavour yet.
also there's definitely something about nerds which transports me back to circa '95. green and pink tongues all round. no wonder the nineties were so full of inflatable backpacks, bubble armchairs and hair mascara. i was sad though as i forgot how to actually open the box properly and made a right mess of it.
what was your favourite flavour?
after hearing a lot about tootsie rolls in american films, i wasn't sure what to expect. actually, i didn't really like it if i'm honest. somewhere between a fudge bar and chewy sweet. i moved on to the airheads sweet, which was a lot like a wham bar without the pieces inbetween. star of the show was the butterfinger though, with peanut butter running through like a crunchie with a texture not dissimilar to peanut brittle. amazing.
it really was an education. and all those calories and sugar? i did it all in the name of the blog, guys.
now how about winning a box for yourself? the friendly guys at taffy mail have an extra box ready and waiting to be sent out to one lucky winner.
just simply answer the question below, making sure you enter your contact details on the rafflecopter widget. you can find out how to earn more entries there too.
what is your all time favourite sweet or chocolate bar?
closes midnight on 21st december 2014. good luck!
note: i was sent a complimentary box for myself and another to give away. all opinions are honest and my own. i was not paid for this post.
It has to be reeses for me, any variety they're all soooo mouth wateringly good!! That subscription looks like something i'd love, i'm always on the hunt for american food!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so much fun! I've been trying to find a food subscription box for a while but I'm not sure my waistline would thank me for this one :( My all time fave sweet is crispy mnm's! I'm completely obsessed with them, probably because they're really difficult to find everywhere near to me and you can never get cool bags of them from the mnm shop, only chocolate and peanut, it's a real low point for me haha x
ReplyDeleteI've given this real thought, and I think my favourite sweet is chewy toffee. Yum. I have never seen a sweety subscription box before. I LOVE NERDS. How good are nerds?!
