for a brilliant breakfast in london, i really recommend the book club in shoreditch. we went along for a day trip to london the other weekend and having been here a few months ago for a friend's birthday drinks and nibbles (and a game of ping pong!), i knew i wanted to return and try their weekend brunch menu.
amongst greek yoghurt with fresh fruit and blossom honey, thick cinnamon porridge oats and buttermilk pancakes... we spied some tasty looking breakfasts that would set us up for the day ahead.
we had a latte and americano - i love it when places make patterns in your coffee :)
i went for honey roast ham, two sunny side eggs and hand cut chips (£8.50). it was so thick and delicious with a crispy edge it was almost like gammon to be honest! sneaky bit of pineapple there too - my absolute fear - but i have to admit the slight tinge of pineapple juice was quite nice. i understand the theory of why they'd go together, but, just no. i felt like a little kid dipping my chips in the gooey egg yolk.
my mister went for the classic english breakfast; pork sausage, back bacon, eggs your way, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans and toast all for £8.
yum! not bad for a breakfast in london for 2 at a total of £21. their light lunches look gorgeous too, with the likes of spiced king prawn and mullet burger, gressingham duck salad and homemade falafal wraps. just have to go back now then won't i? :) for an indian twist on a breakfast i would definitely recommend dishoom and their sausage naans. do you have any recommendations?
Very interesting, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe Book Club in Shoreditch sounds like the perfect mix of creativity, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether it’s for casual conversations or deep discussions, having the right setting makes all the difference. That’s something I’ve also noticed with academic work. Sometimes, you just need the right environment and support to get things flowing. When I was struggling with my essays, I found https://essayfactory.uk/essay-writing-service-sp really useful. It helped me structure my thoughts and refine my writing without losing my own voice.
